Cloud securityAmazon Web Services has added the AWS Trusted Advisor monitoring and alerting tool to the company’s cloud platform offering for U.S. government agencies.

The tool will work to help GovCloud (US) region users to perform up to 19 checks and is designed to offer security, cost and system management suggestions, AWS said Thursday.

All GovCloud health checks are available to subscribers of business or enterprise support tiers, according to AWS.

The company says its cloud customers have used Trusted Advisor to view recommendations for performance improvement, security, fault tolerance and cost optimization since the program’s inception in 2013.
