Ernest Wohnig serves as senior vice president of critical infrastructure security at System 1 and is responsible for strategic direction, business development and client engagement functions in the infrastructure sector.

Wohnig has held the role since March 2014 and oversees the company’s work with public and private infrastructure operators to help them manage risks and secure their assets.

Prior to joining System 1, he was cybersecurity principal and CEO of Wohnig, Chaman & Associates.

He also spent almost 12 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led a business organization that delivers assurance and information security services across the energy and environment industries.

Before that, he worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency as an analyst and helped the agency develop national intelligence estimates as well as analyze infrastructure vulnerabilities, policies and adversaries.

Wohnig also served in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence officer between 1993 and 1998.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a master of international management degree from the University of Maryland University College.
