ITphotoWorldwide revenue from information technology-as-a-service platforms is forecast to grow 31 percent annually from 2014 to 2019, according to a new Research and Markets report.

The market analyst said Thursday a growing demand for ITaaS offerings across the government sector and for low-cost enterprise infrastructure will help spur market growth.

Vendors use the ITaaS technology delivery method to help organizations address cost, efficiency and agility issues, the report states.

The reseach firm also found that cloud data security is a primary concern for end users within the software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service and infrastructure-as-a-service segments.

AT&T, Amazon Web Services, CA Technologies, Cisco, EMC, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and VMware are among companies mentioned in the report.
