mobile-securityBlackBerry‘s Secusmart subsidiary has worked with IBM and Samsung to develop a tablet that supports SecuSUITE for BlackBerry 10 to enable secure mobile communications for government and enterprise users.

BlackBerry said Saturday the SecuTABLET is based on Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and is awaiting security certification for classified data from the German Federal Office for Information Security.

“Working alongside IBM and Samsung, we have added the last link in the chain of the Federal Security Network,” said Secusmart CEO Hans-Christoph Quelle.

IBM provided mobile application wrapping technology and systems integration support in developing SecuTABLET, which uses the Secusmart Security Card to handle data with special security requirements, BlackBerry said.

The team is presenting SecuTABLET at the CeBIT 2015 event this week in Germany.
