CGI has been selected to support the U.K. military’s fire control battlefield information system application and fire control application system.
CGI will provide software applications support for FC BISA and the FCA, and hardware support for the FCA handheld computer platform.
Daniel James, a project manager at the British defense ministry, added that the FCA system is scheduled for fielding to the army in 2015.
The British artillery and infantry provides indirect fire support for operations that use the FC BISA system.
