b-w world-peopleEd Swallow, a 12-year Northrop Grumman veteran, will join The Aerospace Corp. on April 4 as vice president of the nonprofit organization’s civil and commercial group.

The nonprofit organization said Thursday it also appointed Randy Kendall, vice president of civil and commercial operations, to succeed the retiring Ray Johnson as VP of the space launch business area on July 1.

Swallow told GovCon Executive that he will support national security and civil space missions through Aerospace’s federally funded research and development center.

Additionally, he will help oversee business development programs and will also serve as corporate director of government relations.

He most recently oversaw BD activities within Northrop’s federal and technologies division.

Prior to Northrop, he led Pegasus Strategic Advisors as president and CEO and has held positions at Steven Myers and Associates, Space Applications and Logicon.

Kendall previously served as general manager of the launch systems division and led systems engineering support work for NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration.
