Letitia Long, formerly director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, has been appointed to Noblis‘ board of trustees as the company works to further its collaboration with the U.S. intelligence community.

“Tish will bring fresh insights to our board based on her extensive experience in a community that is so vital to our national security,” Amr ElSawy, Noblis president and CEO, said Tuesday.

Long led NGA from August 2010 to October 2014 after four years as deputy director at the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Before that, she served as a deputy director in the Office of Naval Intelligence and was named the first deputy defense undersecretary for intelligence on policy, requirements and resources.

Long became an executive director for intelligence community affairs at the CIA in 1998 and oversaw policy development, resource planning and assessment related to national intelligence programs.

She is a recipient of the Defense Department‘s Distinguished Civilian Service Medal.
