widepointA WidePoint subsidiary has received a $17 million task order renewal from the Department of Homeland Security and a new $700,000 task order from the department’s Office of Biometric Identity Management for managed mobility services.

Steve Komar, WidePoint CEO and chairman, said Thursday the iSYS subsidiary will provide identity management and mobile communications support for DHS agencies under the Cellular Wireless Managed Services blanket purchase agreement.

The services work to support the mobile workforce with functions that manage risk, costs and controls, he added.

“We are pleased to continue our support of DHS-HQ and OBIM in helping them manage their mobility assets,” said Jin Kang, chief operations officer at WidePoint.
