Jonathan Kirchner, formerly president and chief operating officer of GeoOptics, has moved to Globecomm as senior vice president of corporate strategy and product management.
He will report to CEO Keith Hall, with responsibility for the company’s initiatives to develop global corporate and product strategies, Globecomm said Tuesday.
Hall said Kirchner’s experience would help Globecomm grow the company’s data management and information logistic services.
Kirchner was previously the executive VP and general manager of Arqiva Satellite & Media before he joined GeoOptics, a provider of satellite-based environmental data services.
He also managed the Loral/Alcatel joint venture business in the U.K. during his 10-year tenure at Loral Space & Communications.
Kirchner also served as VP of global marketing and business development at Loral Skynet.
