SAIC logoScience Applications International Corp. will provide support for information systems end users at Toyota Motor Corp. sales and manufacturing affiliates in North America under a five-year, $54 million contract.

SAIC said Monday it will provide Toyota Motor North America with information systems services to support end user and dealer service desks, messaging and collaboration, and access administration.

The contract also includes desk-side end-user computing support at Toyota facilities in California, Kentucky and Texas and support with transitioning information systems operations for the consolidation of the company’s North American business.

“We are pleased to partner with Toyota for another five years and assist in the transition to One Toyota,” said Bob Genter, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s strategic growth markets customer group.

According to SAIC, Toyota’s consolidated North American affiliates and headquarters will be based in Plano, Texas.

Genter also noted that SAIC’s support for Toyota will follow continuous improvement principles in line with the latter’s Kaizen culture.
