Lexmark-wborderLexmark International has completed the $1 billion acquisition of Kofax in a move to grow Lexmark’s enterprise software business.

Lexmark also said Thursday that it has appointed Reynolds Bish as the new president of the company’s enterprise software business. He will succeed the current president Scott Coons, who will retire at the end of July.

Bish will report to Lexmark Chairman and CEO Paul Rooke.

Coons oversaw Lexmark’s enterprise software business after the company bought Perceptive Software in 2010.

Bish, who has been the CEO of Kofax since 2007, will also serve as a vice president at Lexmark.

The 20-year enterprise software veteran was previously the co-founder, president and CEO of Captive Software Corp.

Rooke said Bish’s background in operating a global business will be instrumental in Lexmark’s efforts to expand its enterprise software business.
