Smart Card Alliance said Tuesday the June 9-10 conference will tackle cybersecurity issues, advances in mobile identity, biometric systems, personal identity verification credentials, healthcare identification and developments in National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace standards.
Robert Carey and Michael Papay have been drafted to represent industry, with Grant Schneider and Trevor Rudolf from the Office of Management and Budget joining from government.
Carey, vice president and general manager at CSC Global Cybersecurity and former defense deputy chief information officer, will speak about cyber defense strategies against advanced threats while Papay, vice president and chief information security officer at Northrop Grumman, will touch on cyber identity.
The roundtable discussion will be moderated by Randy Vanderhoof of Smart Card Alliance and cover access security and ID management trends that affect security platforms of government and corporate organizations.
Other panelists include Phil Lam of the National Institute of Standards and Technology and Jim Sheire of the General Services Administration.
