An Airbus Defense and Space company has refreshed its call processing system offerings in a move to aid communities in public safety communications.
Airbus DS Communications launched the VESTA SMS Text-to-911 platform, VESTA Map service and VESTA Analytics updates, Airbus said Monday.
“I am particularly excited to announce our new SMS offering which places text-to-911 capability inside our VESTA 911 solution, giving agencies the ability to easily address text calls,” said Bob Freinberg, CEO of Airbus DS Communications.
The company indicated that emergency call centers will be able to manage short message service calls using the VESTA SMS tool.
Airbus said the VESTA SMS service also displays location on the VESTA Locate and VESTA Map platforms.
VESTA Analytics features voice call data integration and a built-in scenario management system.
Airbus designed VESTA Map with a real-time mapping tool that uses Esri‘s geographic information system technology.
