CAECAE‘s healthcare business has unveiled its new tablet-operated software for controlling the METIman patient simulator’s physiology and responses to treatment during patient care training.

The company said Tuesday Vivo provides facilitators full manual control of the patient simulator and enables alternative physiological models for training sessions.

“We developed Vïvo for today’s healthcare learning environment, which is fast-paced, rapidly changing and in need of compelling training solutions,” said Robert Amyot, president of CAE Healthcare.

CAE added that Vivo will provide functions for instructors to record learner performance on patient safety protocols.

The company noted that it will deploy Vivo and the Muse software for model-driven physiology on a Nexus 9 tablet for every new METIman beginning this fall.
