tablet, soldier, c4isrBoeing‘s Insitu subsidiary has built a technology for military customers to produce three-dimensional models from aerial intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance imagery.

Insitu said Friday it released the 3-D modeling tool as part of a software portfolio designed to extract and process full motion videos captured by airborne ISR platforms.

Jon Damush, Insitu vice president and general manager of mission systems programs, said the business seeks to help customers plan tactical maneuvers, analyze line-of-sight to targets and prepare for missions with the technology.

The tool works to create 3-D environments based on video feeds or still images captured by uncalibrated sensor devices.

Insitu division 2d3 Sensing is demonstrating the platform at the ongoing GEOINT Symposium in Washington.
