Black Box - ExecutiveBizThe U.S. Energy Department has awarded Black Box Network Services a potential five-year, $33.4 million contract to help update, run and maintain a federal integrated communications network located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Black Box said Wednesday it will also provide telecommunication services to DOE and other government offices throughout the Oak Ridge Reservation site.

“We look forward to working with DOE Oakridge and helping them leverage innovation in technologies, solutions and services to support their mission critical needs,” said Roger Lawler, vice president of marketing at Black Box Network Services’ government solutions business.

The contract has a two-year base performance period, three option years and a 90-day transition period that began June 1.
