IBM has won a $23.1 million contract from the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency to help consolidate budget, accounting and finance management systems at the Defense Department.
The company will provide technical and functional support services for the Defense Agencies Initiative under the cost-plus-incentive-fee and firm-fixed-price contract, DoD said Thursday.
The program’s goal is to leverage commercial technology for defense organizations to standardize financial and accounting functions into a single infrastructure.
IBM will perform work in Virginia and is scheduled to finish the one-year base period of performance Aug. 1, 2016.
The contract includes two one-year and one three-month options.
DLA received two offers for the project and obligated $6,723,671 in fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance and research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
