Dell, Innovation Institute Enter Health IT Development Partnership; Sid Nair Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting event

electronic health record EHRThe Innovation Institute has tapped Dell to become a founding partner of its California-based Innovation Lab to help develop health information technology platforms.

Dell said Tuesday the Innovation Institute acts as an incubator for healthcare companies and evaluates, develops and commercialize medical tools and services through its Innovation Lab.

The company will collaborate with the institute to carry out pilot programs related to health IT, including cloud-based analytics, Internet of Things and patient engagement.

Sid Nair, vice president and general manager for healthcare and life sciences at Dell’s services business, said the company will gain access to the institute's team of clinical experts as it works to create tools designed to improve healthcare outcomes.
