Elbit Systems of America has formed new scholarship programs in a move to extend the company's support for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education.

The Elbit Systems subsidiary said Sunday it partnered with the Army Scholarship Foundation to establish a scholarship for the children and spouses of current and former U.S. Army members to pursue STEM education.

The company also established the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology robotics scholarship for senior high school students.

“As a manufacturer of integrated system solutions we see the importance of this education on a daily basis and are committed to supporting our youth and young adults through internship training, scholarships, and mentoring,“ said Raanan Horowitz, Elbit Systems of America’s president and CEO.
