Executive Profile: Vernon Butler, Managing Director of Grant Thornton’s Defense-Intell Unit

Vernon Butler serves as defense and intelligence business unit lead at Grant Thornton, with responsibility for that organization’s business development activities.

He previously served as a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton and led that firm’s U.S. Navy and Marine Corps strategy and organization business.

Butler’s career includes roles such as Deloitte Federal Optimization executive, BearingPoint Office Enterprise Risk Management and Delivery Excellence executive, Office of the Secretary of Defense and Defense Agencies sector leader and KPMG’s NAVSEA client service partner.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.
