Orbital ATK Receives $30M in US, Int’l Ammo Orders

Orbital ATK will provide medium-caliber ammunition worth an estimated $30 million for the tactical activities and target practice of U.S. and allied forces under separate domestic and international orders.

The company said Tuesday the orders include 25 and 30 mm ammunition for various air-based, sea-based and land-based weapons platforms.

The U.S. Army Maneuver Ammunition Systems awarded the contracts, Orbital ATK added.

Domestic orders include the PGU-25 High Explosive Incendiary round, M793 Target Practice with Tracer cartridge and PGU-15 cartridge.

International orders include the M791 Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot with Tracer, as well as M792 High Explosive Incendiary with Tracer and Self-Destruct.
