Unisys Receives GCN Award for Philadelphia CRM Project; Mark Forman Comments

UnisysUnisys has won a Government Computer News Award for the company's work on Philadelphia’s customer relationship management project.

Unisys was the systems integrator for the Philly311 project that is designed to provide citizen access to the city's services via telephone, Internet, mobile application and social media, Unisys said Wednesday.

“Unisys congratulates the City of Philadelphia on this well-deserved recognition of its innovative use of technology in improving service to citizens,” said Mark Forman, global head of public sector at Unisys.

Philadelphia residents are able to request aid from city agencies under the Philly311 project, according to the company.

HII to Begin USS John C. Stennis Carrier Modernization Work

Huntington Ingalls Industries is set to commence a four-year project to modernize the USS John C. Stennis nuclear powered aircraft carrier at the company's shipyard in Newport News, Virginia. The CVN 74 supercarrier will be the seventh ship of the U.S. Navy's Nimitz class to undergo a midlife refueling and complex overhaul process, HII said Thursday.
