Air Force Seeks New Systems for Signals Intell, Cyber Comms Collection - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Air-Force-logoThe U.S. Air Force has unveiled a potential three-year, $24.9 million funding opportunity for industry to develop new methods and systems for the collection and processing of signals intelligence and cyber communications.

White papers should contain information on processes and technological platforms that could enable SIGINT tools to detect and characterize electronic communication signals of interest in dense environments, the service branch said in a broad agency announcement posted Tuesday on FedBizOpps website.

Submissions should also address interference cancellation methods, information operations systems, geolocation of emitters and cyber operations capabilities that deal with access, processing and acquisition elements with regard to network attacks linked to personnel communications systems.ADS_cyber_200x200

The service branch said it plans to award $5.7 million for fiscal year 2016, $9.5 million for fiscal 2017 and $9.6 million for fiscal 2018.

The Air Force Research Laboratory's Information Directorate will accept white papers until Sept. 28.
