leidos_purpleThe U.S. Air Force has awarded Leidos a potential three-year, $18.7 million contract to perform research and develop new techniques in an effort to identify and locate high-frequency emitters through geolocation techniques.

The Air Force received seven proposals for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, the Defense Department said Friday.

Phase two of this contract covers the development of a hardware system and signal processing prototype and initial field tests, while phase three is for the integration of signal processing components and demonstration through real-time field tests.

Leidos will perform work through Aug. 25, 2018 in Reston, Virginia.
