A Lockheed Martin-led team will provide support for the Australian defense forces’Â Air 5428 Pilot Training System as the preferred tenderer on the project.
Lockheed said Sunday the Team 21 consortium will work to help the Australian air force develop future pilots from flight screening to flight training.
“We look forward to working with the [Australia’s] capability acquisition and sustainment group to finalize and implement this vital defense program,” said Raydon Gates, CEO of Lockheed’s business arm in Australia.
Partners in the Team 21 consortium are Pilatus and Hawker Pacific.
