F35IBC Advanced Alloys has received a $2 million order from Lockheed Martin to supply parts for the F-35 Lightning II electro-optical targeting system.

IBC will produce EOTS housing for new planes after the company completed low rate initial production Lot 7 and Lot 8 on July 13, IBC said Tuesday.

The new purchase order is scheduled for delivery in September and “continues our substantial progress with Lockheed since our initial purchase order was announced in 2014, said Anthony Dutton, CEO and president of IBC Advanced Alloys.

“We look forward to continuing to work with the aerospace industry to provide Beralcast solutions for complex aerospace applications where modulus and weight are key performance drivers,” added Dutton.

The F-35 EOTS azimuth gimbal housing contains IBC’s Beralcast beryllium-aluminum casting alloy.
