The Aerospace Corp. has promoted Scott Yeakel, formerly principal engineer at the nonprofit organization’s national systems group, to general manager of the group’s systems engineering and launch division.
Yeakel will be responsible for the delivery of enterprise-level support services to the company’s clients in the National Reconnaissance Office, Aerospace said Tuesday.
The two-decade U.S. Air Force veteran previously served as a systems director at the group’s system engineering and ground division.
Prior to Aerospace, he worked at management consulting firm Syndetics as an independent strategy consultant.
Yeakel has held leadership roles at General Dynamics, including director of advanced programs and business area director positions.
Before General Dynamics, he spent five years at Spectrum Astro as senior vice president of programs.
The U.S. Air Force Academy alumnus holds a master’s degree in astronautical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
