The U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded Tetra Tech a $47 million contract to assist Indonesia in its efforts to protect the country’s biodiversity and forested areas.
Tetra Tech will collaborate with the national government and civil society groups to manage conservation site and implement low emission development policies under the five-year project, the company said Tuesday.
The goal is to contain the rise in greenhouse gas emissions due to “deforestation and unsustainable land-use practices.â€
