The Energy Department and General Services Administration has asked industry, academia and nonprofit organizations to provide data on green building technologies to support DOE’s High Impact Technology Catalyst program and GSA’s Green Proving Ground program.
GSA said Monday the agencies’ joint request for information is focused on the areas of energy management, renewable energy, water conservation and reuse, and on equipment such as window attachments, fans and blowers.
The sought technologies have the potential to boost the environmental and economic performance of both federal and commercial facilities, the agency said.
DOE and GSA plan to use the provided information to select technologies for evaluation and verification by a third party and to guide investment decisions.
Responses to the RFI are due Dec. 11.
