Autonomic Resources has been certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for its ARCWRX open source platform-as-a-service cloud offering to the federal government, Nextgov reported Friday.

Frank Konkel writes that ARCWRX is the first PaaS offering to achieve FedRAMP compliance.

John Keese, director of government cloud solutions for Computer Sciences Corp., told Nextgov some federal agencies have expressed interest in ARCWRX, which is built on Red Hat‘s OpenShift platform.

CSC acquired Autonomic Resources earlier this year in push to expand further in the government cloud market.
