Leidos Subcontracts Thales for Testing, Integration Work on NATO Missile Defense System - top government contractors - best government contracting event

MissileDefenseThales has received a subcontract from Leidos to help validate NATO’s ballistic missile defense system.

Thales will design and test interfaces with NATO’s sensors and weapons, provide integration services and evaluate the BMD system on the integrated test bed under the subcontract, Thales said Friday.

The work is part of a potential $77 million contract that NATO awarded to Leidos in February 2015 to perform upgrade work on the BMD architecture.

Leidos’ contract with NATO is a follow-on to the Active Layer Theater Ballistic Missile Defense contract and contains a base term of four years, two option years and one seven-month option.

Thales will perform contract work in The Hague, Netherlands.
