networkHughes Network Systems and Level 3 Communications have partnered to offer federal agencies a suite of managed network service offerings through a U.S. General Services Administration-run enterprise telecommunications contract vehicle.

Level 3 added the HughesON digital media and network management services portfolio to the company’s Networx Enterprise contract, Hughes said Wednesday.

HughesON works to help organizations receive high-speed Internet connectivity access and manage WiFi service for both employees and visitors.

The cloud-ready suite includes Hughes’ ActiveTechnologies platform designed to manage the performance of networks over broadband.

Hughes said it has integrated Fortinet‘s operating system FortiOS 5 into the HughesON platform in an effort to help secure customers’ digital networks.
