The grants will fund research on unmanned vehicle navigation, supersonic flight and analysis techniques for imagery and composite materials, Lockheed said Nov. 16.

“These four projects offer new approaches to technology that are of importance to Lockheed Martin and represent unique ideas that we want to explore in collaboration with Korean academia,” said John Evans, vice president for international science and technology at Lockheed.

Grant recipients in this round include Seoul National University, Korea University and Ulsan National Institute for Science and Technology.

Seoul National University will have two projects funded under ROKST&R and the other two universities will have one funded project each.
