MorphoTrust’s DoD ID Verification Contract Renewed; Bob Eckel Comments

MorphoTrust has received a $3.5 million contract renewal to extend its biometrics-based identity verification services for the Defense Department as part of a third-year option.

The company said Tuesday it will continue to provide the MorphoTrust ABIS or automated biometric identification system to DoD in support of the national security mission.

“Federal agencies need to be able to reliably verify the identities of individuals whenever national security is involved, and wherever identity is critical to their mission,” said MorphoTrust CEO Bob Eckel.

ABIS works to support identity management processes that use facial, fingerprint, iris and other biometric data.
