Versar logoVersar Inc. has received $17.1 million in task orders to assist the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the oversight of construction projects in Afghanistan.

The company will provide Afghan engineering and technical personnel to support USACE staff under the new task orders, Versar said Tuesday.

The task orders are part of Versar’s four-year personal services contract with USACE set to expire in September 2016.

“Versar has been proud to participate in the [Defense Department‘s] reconstruction and capacity development efforts in Afghanistan since 2006,” said Tony Otten, CEO of Versar.
