James Murdoch, CEO of mass media company 21st Century Fox, has joined the Center for a New American Security policy think tank as a member of the board of directors.
CNAS said Tuesday Murdoch will work with other board members to provide oversight and support for the organization’s strategic direction.
“James’ experience as a global business and media leader will provide unique and invaluable expertise to the CNAS Board,” said CNAS CEOÂ Michele Flournoy.
Murdoch has previously served as co-chief operating officer and chairman and CEO for Europe and Asia at 21st Century Fox, as well as chairman of Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia and CEO of BSkyB and STAR.
He is also currently a board member at 21st Century Fox, News Corp. and Sky.
