Engility Holdings has received a $14 million contract extension to keep its upgrade and technical support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s command-and-control systems.

The company will continue to explore potential technology upgrades and provide support for the Deployable Joint Command and Control system for an additional five years, Engility said Tuesday.

“Engility’s customers at NSWC [Panama City division] have a vital mission to ensure our forces have access to the best-possible command, control, computers, communications and intelligence subsystems, networks and accompanying infrastructure,” said Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO.

The joint command-and-control system provides combat commanders a standardized core command-and-control capability.
