cybersecurityThe U.S. Senate’s sergeant at arms office has requested information on potential contractors that can provide intelligence and threat analysis support services for the cyber threat analysis team within the SAA office’s information technology security branch.

The Senate’s SAA office said in a FedBizOpps notice published Dec. 22 potential vendors will work to help the cyber threat team identify network vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies and determine the cyber threat actors’ capabilities.

The cyber threat analysis group was created to provide cybersecurity support for the Senate through the development of countermeasures against cyber threats and collaboration with government and commercial organizations to perform intelligence analysis functions.

Interested contractors’ responses to the sources sought notice should contain descriptions of their methods to cyber threat analysis and threat intelligence data collection, contract work experience and organizational information.

Responses to the notice are due on Jan. 22.
