Both programs seek to replace the service branches’ current fighter fleet, Trimble reports.

Chris Hernandez, vice president for research, technology and advanced design at Northrop, cited range and weapon payload as some of the primary parameters for the company’s proposed NG Air Dominance fighter aircraft, Breaking Defense reported Monday.

Colin Clark writes that Northrop has formed two design teams to build the new fighter plane.
