The North American subsidiary of Serco Group will continue to help the U.S. Navy test and install command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems under a three-year contract extension from the branch’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.

Serco Inc. said Thursday it has installed C4ISR systems on surface vessels, submarines and shore terminals worldwide for the military branch under a potential $1.4 billion C4ISR Global Installation Contract vehicle the company won a position on in July 2011.

“We are proud to support the Navy’s ship and shore C4ISR modernization efforts,” said Dan Allen, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc.

The company was awarded nearly $300 million in task orders by SPAWAR through its Global Installation Contract.
