Joanne Isham, an independent defense and intelligence consultant and former career officer with CIA, has joined the federal advisory board of HyTrust.

The federal advisory board will work to help HyTrust build on its cloud and virtualization offerings to the public sector, the company said Monday.

“We’re privileged to have Joanne join our federal advisory board and help us identify and pursue key target markets with innovative security solutions,” said John De Santis, chairman and CEO of HyTrust.

Isham was the chief operating officer at High Performance Technologies from 2007 to 2008 after she held the role of vice president and deputy general manager of network systems at BAE Systems.

Prior to her move to the private sector, she has served as the deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, deputy director for science and technology at CIA, director of congressional affairs for the director of central intelligence, deputy director of the resource management office of the Community Management Staff and director of legislative affairs at the National Reconnaissance Office.

She is the recipient of several awards for her service across the Intelligence Community.
