Mark Testoni, president and CEO of SAP National Security Services, has said the adoption of in-memory computing platforms can help chief information officers detect and respond to cyber threats as they happen.

Testoni, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2016,  wrote in an article published Monday on The Guardian that corporate CIOs should understand that data breaches and other forms of cyber attacks are possible.

He cited finance operations, personal data and critical infrastructure as some of the key targets among cyber threat actors.

“We must identify the high-value targets that are most likely to be attacked and prioritize the areas where a security breach would be most damaging,” he noted.

Testoni also called on CIOs to review their cybersecurity strategies on a regular basis and effectively implement their resources in order to immediately address security gaps in their networks.
