FLIR SystemsFLIR Systems has unveiled a new thermal imaging product line that works to aid firefighters and first responders in carrying out missions.

The product line includes K33 and K53 handheld cameras, KF6 cameras for fire engine ladders and two Aerial First Responder Kits with the DJI Zenmuse XT camera, FLIR said Thursday.

The company launched the thermal imaging product line at the Fire Department Instructors Conference international trade show on Thursday.

Andy Teich, president and CEO of FLIR, said the product line looks to provide added features for firefighter use, including functions that support visibility through smoke, monitor temperature and locate people and personnel in potentially dangerous situations.

FLIR added that the thermal imaging cameras feature a single-button interface that works to simplify usage.

KF6, a thermal camera mounted on fire engine ladders, could aid firefighters in developing strategies and assessing how to extinguish large building, warehouse or structural fires.

The company also said that the Aerial First Responder Kits are packaged with both DJI Zenmuse XT and the DJI Inspire 1 drone to provide a thermal perspective from the air.
