oshkoshThe Canadian International Trade Tribunal has called for a reassessment of the bid submitted by an Oshkosh Corp. subsidiary for the $638 million Medium Support Vehicle System Standard Military Pattern contract.

CITT made the recommendation to Canada’s department of public works and government services following a four-month review after Oshkosh Defense Canada challenged the contract award decision on the MSVS SMP program in January, Oshkosh said Tuesday.

“We are pleased with CITT’s ruling, which validates our concerns and defends the fair and transparent procurement process that the Canadian government strives to implement,” said Wilson Jones, president and CEO of Oshkosh Corp.

The bid’s re-evaluation includes the physical reassessment of the test protocols for the vehicle platform.

Oshkosh said the tribunal also recommended a review of a possible monetary compensation to the company for costs incurred in the complaint proceedings.
