Summit Consulting has received a long-term contract from the Environmental Protection Agency to extend the company’s policy and infrastructure development services on EPA’s Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act program.
The contract will continue Summit’s WIFIA advisory support for up to four years and require additional development services for the programmatic infrastructure, standard operating procedures, portfolio, credit subsidy estimates and credit policies, Summit said Friday.
The company added that it has worked with EPA since June 2015 in the development of WIFIA, a program designed to provide loans specifically for the development of water infrastructures as part of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014.
Ian Weise, Summit's federal credit modeling and forecasting manager, said the company and EPA look to strengthen the U.S. water infrastructure by creating a new credit instrument.
Summit is an analytic advisory firm that employs economists, econometricians and research scientists to help customers such as federal agencies, financial institutions and litigators address analytical problems.
Summit’s services include program evaluation, applied statistics and economics, mortgage finance, financial services, federal credit modeling and forecasting and litigation analytics.
