IQT invested in Ephesoft for the deployment of Ephesoft Universe, which is designed to help organizations utilize unstructured data using the open source Apache Spark data loading technology and Hadoop to cluster multiple PCs, Ephesoft said Tuesday.

George Hoyem, an investments partner at IQT, said the Ephesoft technology applies machine learning to extract data from “unsearchable” documents.

Ephesoft delivers capture technology designed to help organizations automate and streamline mailroom processing.
