Evoqua to Perform Water Purification Services at Norfolk Naval Station; Rodney Aulick Comments

Evoqua Water Technologies has been selected to provide boiler water services at Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia under a five-year contract with a U.S. Navy supplier.

Evoqua said Monday the company will use its mobile deionization units to produce deionized boiler feed water for ships that dock at the naval station.

The contract also calls for systems management, transportation support for the mobile equipment, reports via Evoqua’s Link2Site remote information systems and offsite resin regeneration services.

Rodney Aulick, Evoqua’s president of industrial projects and services, said the Navy sought a team to fulfill facility demands and to help maintain U.S. readiness.

The mobile deionization units are designed to contain a 150,000-gallon volume of water on a compact footprint in compliance with Navy specifications.

Evoqua drivers travel to the company’s regeneration facility in Richmond to empty the resin.
