DHS - ExecutiveMosaicFactom has been awarded the $199,000 Blockchain Software to Prove Integrity of Captured Data From Border Devices project contract from the Department of Homeland Security science and technology directorate to deliver security options for IoT Devices.

The company will leverage on the Blockchain network and develop an identity log to gather device identification, including the manufacturer, available updates, identified security issues, and granted authorities, and add dimension of time for added security, the DHS said Friday.

The goal of the project is to limit the ability of hackers to corrupt the past record of devices, the agency added.

The goal of the DHS (Other Transaction Solicitation) request for security solutions’ proposal’s is to gather ideas and technologies that can help improve awareness and the security of the domains and the 16 DHS-monitored critical infrastructure sectors.
