Mark Testoni, president and CEO of SAP National Security Services, has said that SAP NS2 is exploring new cybersecurity and intelligence collection methods in an interview with IT Business Edge published Wednesday.

IT Business Edge quoted him as saying he believes commercial technology can help government agencies to protect systems against cyber threats and fuse traditional and open-source intelligence sources.

“We need to better understand the threats to this country by exploiting that open-source information on the internet — that’s a huge thing that we need to be able to do in this country in the coming years,” Testoni told the publication.

He added that SAP NS2 aims to be a part of the solution.
