Vormetric Integrates Security Tech With FireEye as Part of Cyber Coalition

Vormetric has integrated its Data Security Platform for security intelligence with the FireEye Threat Analytics Platform to detect and monitor cyber attack threats.

The technology integration is part of Vormetric’s support for the FireEye Cyber Security Coalition, Vormetric said Tuesday.

Ed Barry, FireEye Cyber Security Coalition vice president, said the integration of FireEye TAP with Vormetric’s platform works to provide threat intelligence that can guide organizations to detect and respond to threats.

Vormetric Data Security Platform is designed to create a log of file-level access attempts to sensitive data, whether permitted or denied.

FireEye TAP seeks to alert organizations regarding suspicious behavior to help stop threats before any damage could be done, said Arun Gowda, vice president of business development at Vormetric.

The company added that Vormetric Data Security Platform, once integrated with FireEye TAP, will work to detect unusual or improper data access, as well as support the detection of insider threats, hackers and advanced persistent threats.
